This song is a story about a bridge that goes over Hay Swamp just out side of Exeter Ontario in Huron County. Its at the end of a very tight turn and if you get going to fast you go off the bridge. A lot of people have died doing just that. This particular story is about escaped convicts that didnt know the back roads like the local cops and the cops took advantage of that, forced them to use Devils Elbow as their escape route... Also Hay Swamp is home to what is known as a "green lady" which is a female apparition that glows green and floats over the swamp. Im told that its "swamp gas" but ive see it with my own eyes more than once and i assure you its a woman. Go see her for yourself. not kidding. - Hooch
